Shadows Depression Support Group

Shadows Depression Support group commenced on 16th January 2017.
It runs every Monday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30 pm except Bank Holidays.
We currently have 25 members, anyone experiencing Mental Health Difficulties or if you are supporting someone with Mental Health Difficulties and you are over the age of 16 yrs of age you are welcome to come along to the group.
Shadows are a confidential, friendly, supportive setting, where great friendships are made.
We have lots of helpful information available every week for your perusal.
We are a self- funding group at this moment, so that means we have to rely on our local businesses and community to support us with our fundraising events which they have very kindly done so over this past year .
You do not need to be referred to Shadows you can either give us a call on the allocated numbers or arrange to come to group or you can just come along on Monday evening.
We have excellent communications with the Local GP surgeries, Job Centre and Police who regularly visit Shadows and also refer people to the service.
The Support service we provide at Shadows Depression Support Group is very resourceful and we hopefully are helping prevent the stigmas surrounding Mental Health difficulties and to raise more awareness of what support is available in the local community.
In October 2017 Shadows Out of Hours Support opened its National telephone lines on a Friday and Saturday evening from 10pm until 6am to support anyone who may need help over the weekend.
Shadows Depression Support Group is run by Louise and Jennifer who organizes the groups etc and supports all members.
Shadows now have their our own Social Media Administrator/ Promoter , this is run by my daughter Samantha.
Shadows is very unique in what services it provides to help support not only our local community but nationally and internationally too.
